Once, they were mentor and protégé. Now, the two are on different teams as Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Hall of Famers Chuck Liddell and Forrest Griffin were named the coaches for the third installment of the "The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America."

According to USA Today Sports' MMA Junkie, this time, the show will be filmed in Argentina, unlike the previous two seasons that were shot in Las Vegas. The report added that the production will take place from May to June and it is expected to hit television screens in August.

Liddell and Griffin are no strangers to the UFC's famous reality show as they were part of the first ever "The Ultimate Fighter." In the pilot season of the hit reality show, Liddell was coaching against fellow Hall of Famer Randy Couture and one of the members of his team was Griffin.

Griffin, representing Team Liddell, became the first ever "The Ultimater Fighter" winner after beating Stephan Bonnar in one of the most historical and impactful fights in the history of the UFC.

Since then, Liddell and Griffin's career skyrocketed, with both winning the UFC light heavyweight title in their storied careers.

Usually, the coaches of the show are set to compete in the finale or will main event a UFC card. However, there is no news saying Liddell and Griffin will return to the octagon to face each other once the show concludes. It is unlikely the Hall of Famers will take on each other since they are retired.

The last time Liddell fought in the UFC was in 2010 and he lost via knockout to former middleweight champion Rich Franklin.

Meanwhile, Griffin's final fight in the UFC was a rubber match versus also former light heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz in 2012, which he won via unanimous decision.
