'The Strain' season 3 spoilers, air date: Strigois will evolve
As "The Strain" season 3 is just weeks away from making its debut, more and more fans of the FX series are already excited over what they can expect from the upcoming season. With the show's release of the respective synopsis for its first three upcoming episodes, it has become clearer that "The Strain" season 3 will showcase a more intense battle between the humans and the bloodsucking Strigois.
According to reports, the first episode of "The Strain" season 3 is titled "New York Strong." This episode will show Eph (Corey Stoll) struggling on his attempt to improve his weapon as he emotionally deals with the pains and worries caused by the abduction of his son. This episode will, likewise, feature Fet (Kevin Durand) lending a hand to a Navy SEAL team as they search every corner of the New York underground tunnels to find The Master.
"As season three begins, New York City is a battleground. Written off by the federal government, the people of New York City must fight for survival on their own. The question is who will win? Humans or strigoi? Our heroes win victories, but are not winning the war. Beset by personal conflicts — betrayal, disappointment, paranoia — our group is splintering... Meanwhile, the Master is close to executing an irreversible transformation of the world. Is there still hope to save the city and humanity?" goes the full synopsis for the episode as stated on the press statement of the show.
On the other hand, episode 2 is titled "Bad While," Eph gets a deal from The Master that will pave the way for the return of his son. Dutch (Ruta Gedmintas) reconnects with old friends but will wonder if she is safe with them, or she would be in safer hands in the company of Fet, Eph, and Setrakian (David Bradley).
"Palmer (Jonathan Hyde) strives for answers to Setrakian's secret strigoi blood treatments and discovers he may have a way to acquire it," goes a portion of the synopsis for "The Strain" season 3 episode 2.
Finally, episode 3 is titled "First Born" and will feature Setrakian and Fet's attempt to recover the stolen Occido Lumen. This episode will also cast the spotlight on Gus (Miguel Gomez) and Angel (Joaquín Cosío) as they hide a guest in their house.
There is no questioning that, based on the synopses above, "The Strain" season 3 will be loaded with more suspense, horror, and adventure.
How will the people deal with the evolution of the vampires and strigois? What deal does The Master have for Fet so that he can have his son back?
These questions and more will be answered when "The Strain" returns to FX for its season 3 run on Aug. 28.
