'The Royals' season 3 premiere spoilers: Jules Knight joins cast for a recurring role
The American drama series "The Royals," which follows the fictional stories of British royalties, is set to return for a third season later this year. "Holby City" star Jules Knight is the newest addition to the cast and he will reportedly play a powerful character.
According to TV Line, Knight joins the E! channel's drama for the upcoming season for a recurring role named Spencer Hoenigsberg. He is described as the smart, charismatic, and cunning newest Lord Chamberlain to the Queen of England. He is a determined professional who would do everything in his power to deliver what is needed for his job. Known to be very detailed-oriented and classy, his future in the royal palace is expected to be a successful one.
Knight will be joined by another new face on the show, "The Tudors" star Max Brown. Deadline reported that Brown will be playing as Queen Helena's (Elizabeth Hurley) eldest son with the late King Simon (Vincent Regan) named Robert. The network has not confirmed yet whether his stay is for a recurring or a regular role.
In the previous season, a lot of the characters thought that Prince Robert has been long dead. However, with Brown's addition to the cast, this confirms that he is indeed alive and will return in the flesh. Despite his imperfections, the Queen's eldest son is known to have pure love for his homeland. His absence, which was presumed death, made his family's lives turn upside down. His return could help the royals get back on their feet.
The production for season has already started and Hurley has revealed about the upcoming installment in her interview with E! News.
"There's a lot of intrigue, there's a lot of scandal, there's a lot of drama going on," Hurley said. "There's definitely some big twists coming up, some of which I've been told about...I think the Queen may fall in love in season three."
Although E! has not announced the official release date yet, "The Royals" season 3 is expected to premiere in November.
