'The Real World' season 31: Upcoming season to premiere on March 17
MTV's long-running reality series "The Real World" is already on its 31st season, and a new trailer has some big teasers for its avid viewers. The show is in Las Vegas for the third time, and the seven cast members are about to do things outside their comfort zones. It is set to premiere on March 17.
The upcoming season titled "The Real World: Go Big or Go Home" is likely to take some elements that made"Road Rules" a highly commended MTV program. Ending in 2007, many of the program's stars went on to participate on "The Real World." This year, the cast members will do high-stake challenges that were seen in "Road Rules."
As to the venue, Las Vegas seems to be the perfect place to have their wild adventures. The first two times the series visited the Sin City are in 2002 and 2011.
"Las Vegas is an iconic film destination and I'm thrilled to welcome MTV downtown," Las Vegas mayor Carolyn G. Goodman said in a statement (via The Ashley's Reality Roundup). "While 'Real World' viewers have seen the show in Las Vegas before, they haven't seen it played out with a vintage flair in our vibrant downtown."
Just like the past seasons, the second one will bring in seven strangers and let them live together. The camera will then roll on 24 hours 7 days a week to capture their lives as they interact with each other and do the season's challenges that will test them physically, mentally, and emotionally. Whoever fails a challenge will be evicted and replaced with another character.
Moreover, season 31 is the third one to add a twist to the show. MTV had "Real World: Ex-Plosion" in 2014 wherein the cast were forced to live with their exes. Last year's season, "Real World: Skeletons," had put the stars in a family setting. It revealed family dark secrets and tied together estranged family members for viewers' entertainment.
