"The Originals" season 4 has to wait for the year to change before airing, but a new cast member has already been revealed. Actress Christina Moses joins the pack as a character named Keelin.

According to Deadline, Keelin is a smart, strong, and resourceful doctor who is actually a werewolf. She is openly bisexual and what used to be a warm and unguarded nature changed when her family was hunted. She managed to escape and has since then been into hiding.

It does not state how she encounters the Mikaelsons, but she could be one of those who would help Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) save the Originals. The end of season 3 shows that while Klaus (Joseph Morgan) was facing trial, his other siblings were dying from a poison. Rebekah (Claire Holt) managed to trick Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) into thinking they are on the same side and suggested he put Klaus in a state worse than death.

Papa Tunde's blade was created by a witch called Papa Tunde and it has been known to inflict constant agony to its victim. Meanwile, Freya (Riley Voelkl) was able to create a spell that anchored her life together with her brothers' Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic) and sister Rebekah on Klaus'.

Hayley was then seen leaving New Orleans driving a truck containing 4 coffins with Baby Hope. Back in New Orleans, Marcel cemented Klaus on a wall in an unknown occasion.

As long as Klaus is alive, his siblings remain in a dream state, while their bodies are in the coffin. If he can find a way to remove the blade, he can help find the cure for his siblings. His siblings, on the other hand, need to find a cure for the poison, in order for them to leave the dream state and help free Klaus.

"The Originals" season 2 is scheduled to premiere in 2017 on The CW network.
