'The Originals' season 4 spoilers, update: New cast, a brand new Klaus, and a 5-year time leap

"The Vampire Diaries" spin-off "The Originals" has received as much praise as its parent show. As they draw closer to their fourth season, many fans are getting eager to know about what their favorite supernatural characters has in store for them. So far, the show has confirmed new cast members and a recurring character. To add, Joseph Morgan, who plays Klaus in the tv show, teased audiences that they might see a different Klaus in season 4.
In an interview with Hypable at last month's San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC), Morgan told the news outlet that the death of Cami (Leah Pipes) has really gotten to his character. Thus, in season 4, fans will be seeing a significantly changed Klaus. Hypable reports that Klaus' mood and personality will change in the upcoming season.
Aside from this changed man, the show will have fresh new talent on set. "Containment" actress Christina Moses will be playing a character named Keelin. The character is a werewolf in the series, says TVLine. "Sleepy Hollow" actor Neil Jackson will also be joining the cast as Alistair, the new vampire in town. "Teen Wolf" alum Keahu Kahuanui will once again find himself in the middle of a fray between supernatural characters. The actor is set to play a character named Eddie, who will be Josh Rosza's (Steven Krueger) boyfriend. Unlike Keelin and Alistair, Eddie will be human. He is completely aware of the supernatural world, yet he desires to be nothing else but human, TVLine reports.
At the 2016 SDCC, attendees had the first look into the upcoming season. A trailer for season 4 showed a five-year time jump. Klaus' daughter Hope, who will be played by "Basic Witches" actress Summer Fontana, will be back next season, and she will be all grown up.
"The Originals" will be back mid-season in 2017.
