'The Originals' Season 2 finale spoilers: Davina resurrects Kol; Claire Holt is back in original Rebekah's body

Last week's episode of "The Originals" saw Eva Sinclair stab herself, leading to Rebekah returning to her original body. Fans rejoiced as actress Claire Holt finally returned to the vampire and hybrid supernatural series as the original Rebekah.

Season two's finale episode will see the Mikaelson siblings prepare for a face off against evil aunt Dahlia who is determined to take baby Hope. Will Klaus' plan against Dahlia work? Can the Mikaelsons unite in order to take down the first-born Original witch?

Executive producer Michael Narducci spoke to Entertainment Weekly about the finale and Klaus' reasons for hurting Elijah by burning Gia in front of him. Klaus' actions will no doubt affect his long-term relationship with his brother Elijah. But Klaus did what he had to because he obviously needed to convince Dahlia that he had turned his back on his family so that Dahila makes a new deal with him. Secondly, it is better that Elijah attacks Klaus than goes after a powerful Original witch that could kill him. Thirdly, Klaus was hurt that Elijah had allowed Hayley and Hope to escape and that he daggered him.

Additionally, Klaus' decision to bring Rebekah back in her original body was taken to protect her. It is not only more difficult to kill his Mikaelson sibling in her vampire body, but it also leaves room for him to dagger her. Fans of the series know that Klaus has a tendency to dagger his siblings as a form of punishment.

TVLine offered a sneak peek video of the finale episode that shows Davina readying herself to resurrect Kol. The newly-appointed regent has wanted Kol back ever since he had died earlier this season. Davina is only a chant away from resurrecting him, but Vincent is seen urging her to reconsider her decision to bring him back. Will she resurrect Kol or heed Vincent's advice? She certainly has the powers to bring him back.

The finale will not only tie up Davina's plot, but will also address the issue of trusting Freya and a surprise regarding Hayley and the Crescents. The sophomore season finale of "The Originals" airs on Monday at 8 p.m. EST on the CW.
