"The Librarian" follows the storyline of a motley group of librarians that set off on adventures in order to recover mysterious artefacts in History. Episode nine of season one, "And the City of Light", is slated to air on Sunday, Jan. 18, 2015.

According to reports by International Business Times, the episode will feature an alien invasion that is uncovered through a missing person investigation in a small, quaint rural town. Directed by Tawnia McKiernan, the episode features Rebecca Romijn as Eve Baird and Christian Kane as Jake Stone.

The promotional clip of episode nine and ten teases that one of the characters has found a way to bring back the library.

In the tenth episode of the series, titled "And the Loom of Fate", Baird will traverse through different timelines that depict the changing destinies of all librarians, including her own. This is due to the fact that Dulaque, played by Mike Frewer, decides to change fate's course, hence bringing out the change of destinies of fellow librarians. IMDb reports that this episode will star Jake Stone, Cassandra Cillian, Ezekiel Jones and Jenkins, besides the beautiful Eve Baird.

Fans can expect a power-packed episode on Sunday as the series gears for exciting plot twists, turns and nail-biting surprises that are sure to have viewers on the edge of their seat. It will be interesting to see the alien invasion and Braid travelling through timelines, seeing everyone's altered destinies. Although the TV series was launched in 2014, it has already garnered a loyal fan following. The lead, Rebecca Romijn, also starred in "Ugly Betty" as Alexis Meade and in the movie "X-Men: The Last Stand" as Mystique.

Both episodes "And the City of Light" and "And the Loom of Fate" will air on Jan. 18 on TNT.
