Since Jan. 11, 2015, ardent watchers of "The Good Wife" have been missing out on their daily dose of legal drama. The good news is that season six will return on March 1, as reported by E! Online, after broadcasting The Super Bowl and various award shows. So, what can fans expect when season six returns?
Alicia Florrick is still running for State Attorney, so fans can expect more drama and political rivalry between her and Frank Prady, the other candidate for the position. In episode 12 fans got a glimpse of Florrick's campaign as she went head-to-head on a debate with Prady. Cary will spend some jail time while Kalinda commits a federal offense. What will happen to Kalinda when Diane files false evidence before the court?
Rachel Harris, who plays the role of the Mayor's assistant, will also be returning on the show along with Gary Cole. TV Line reports that Gary Cole, who plays the role of Diane's husband, will return with his own story arc. Fans may recall that his character, Kurt McVeigh, tied the knot with Diane in November 2013. It will be interesting to see how their marriage has survived despite all the legal drama and office politics that Diane has endured.
E! Online as reports that actor Oliver Platt will be cast as R.D. in the upcoming episodes. He will play the role of a conservative businessman with a passion for hunting. While many actors are entering the show, one loved actress is exiting. Fans were most disappointed to know that Archie Punjabi, who portrays the role of Kalinda Sharma, will be exiting the show. The sultry actress' contract expires at the end of season six, according to The Hollywood Reporter. She will be moving on to other shows and films.
