Actress Shantel VanSanten's Patty Spivot was Barry Allen's (Grant Gustin) love interest for a while in the previous season of "The Flash." Viewers know that things will not be the way they are when the show returns for season 3, and VanSanten teased about Patty's possible return.

VanSanten was present during the recently held Heroes and Villains Fan Fest where she was asked about her possible involvement in the series, which is already filming. She said, "There is a very strong possibility if everything works out."

Patty was Detective Joe West's (Jesse L. Martin) partner who later on dated Barry. As a hero, Barry's loved ones are constantly in danger and it has been a struggle for him to keep them safe. As a detective, it did not take long before Patty knew that Barry is The Flash and, in order to evade further probing, the two broke up. As she was leaving to pursue her education, she called Barry and pretended to be in danger to prove to herself that she knew who the speedster was all along.

In related news, director Kevin Smith is a known comic-fan who has also confessed to be a fan of "The Flash" series. He has directed two episodes in season 2 and he will be back again for season 3. He often shares his excitement on his social media accounts, and a Twitter post on Sept. 15 revealed that he is directing an episode with Alchemy in it.

He posted, "Love "directing" @CW_TheFlash so much! We shot a scene with Alchemy last night. I had to hide my nerd-boner with my script the whole time." It has been revealed that Smith will direct the seventh episode, and viewers now know that Alchemy will surely make an appearance in that episode.
