'Insurgent' trailer – Tris and Four on the run as Erudite leader Jeanine hunts them down
Divergence has seeped into a faction-filled society. The "Divergent" trilogy is set in futuristic Chicago where Tris (Shailene Woodley) has to decide which faction she belongs to. She chooses Dauntless despite being Divergent, meaning, she possesses traits of all the factions to some degree or other.
However, the first movie ended with Tris and Four (Theo James) as fugitives and Tris' mother being killed by Erudites. Tris battled erudite leader Jeanine and escaped with Four. So what will happen now?
The latest trailer reveals that Tris and Four are on the run as fugitives searching for answers. Power-hungry Jeanine is out to get them and will stop at nothing to find them and bring them down. Meanwhile the pair must race against time to unlock the truth about the past and the secrets her parents were fighting to protect.
Four tells Tris, "We have to stop her together". The duo also seek counsel from Amity faction leader Johanna (Octavia Spencer). She must search for answers and allies amidst the ruins of futuristic Chicago. The trailer also shows a shot of a menacing Naomi Watts as Evelyn.
The trailer opens where Tris left off in the first movie. She is seeing heading towards the Amity faction where Ansel Elgort (as Caleb) says, "You are a living proof that the Divergent problem has grown beyond all control". Next, we see Tris cutting her hair to a pixie style and preparing for battle. Kate Winslet is also seen saying, "Divergence will destroy our society. Kill them both".
"Insurgent" is the sequel to "Divergent" and is directed by Robert Schwentke. The movie also stars Miles Teller as Peter, Jai Courtney as Eric, Maggie Q as Tori Wu and Ray Stevenson as Marcu Eaton. Will Tris find the truth she seeks? The film hits the theatres on March 20, 2015.
