'The Affair' season 4 rumors: Luisa to confront Alison upon discovering her affair with Cole

As the upcoming season 4 of "The Affair" will already be the last for the Showtime drama, it is expected to deliver intense scenes between Luisa (Catalina Sandino Moreno) and Alison (Ruth Wilson) as it is said that the former may finally discover that the latter is having an affair with her husband.
The season 3 finale of "The Affair" showed Cole's (Joshua Jackson) desire to end his affair with his ex-wife, Alison, as he feels guilty and sorry for his current wife, Luisa. When the series returns for its fourth and final season 2, it will finally be revealed if Cole will succeed in leaving Alison, who is bent on having him back in her life.
While it is true that Luisa has always been suspicious of Alison, she is totally clueless that her husband is having an affair with his ex-wife. However, according to the latest reports, she will finally discover Cole's infidelity in the upcoming season 4 of "The Affair." Because of her discovery, it is suspected that Luisa will confront Alison and may even give her a good catfight that will surely provide the avid fans of the series a good amount of entertainment.
To the uninitiated, Alison and Cole were previously married. However, Alison left Cole when she chose to live with Noah (Dominic West). While Cole and Luisa's marriage was going well, Cole's faithfulness was put to the test when Alison returned to his life and was allowed into his house for the sake of their daughter, Joanie (Reagan and Savannah Grella).
Although Luisa was adamantly against Alison's visit to their house, Cole reasoned that she has the right to see their daughter as, after all, the court did not allow a joint custody for Joanie considering Alison's record. With their frequent meeting, Cole's feelings for Alison re-developed and they began seeing each other secretly.
The Ringer opines, though, that Alison and Cole will continue their affair in season 4, and it is likely for Noah to die because of it. Wherever the affair of Alison and Cole will lead, though, it is said that the last season of the series will deliver an end to the story that will surely satisfy its fans.
"I see a fourth season that will bring all the characters back together in a way that would feel really satisfying and surprising and end a journey," revealed "The Affair" co-creator and executive producer Sarah Treem in an interview with Variety last December.
"The Affair" season 4 is expected to arrive later this year.
