For fans of "The 100," it probably feels like it's been ages since a new episode has been released. But the long wait is finally over as the series is set to return in a few days. A new trailer teased fans as to what to expect when the show returns, especially now that Clarke is in the crosshairs of almost every tribe. Interestingly, the former leader appears to have a new love interest to go with her new look.

The CW has finally released the synopsis for the premiere episode of "The 100" season 3 and it appears the show will pick up three months after the events of the season 2 finale. The first episode of the newest will find the Sky People learning that a bounty has been placed on Clarke's (Eliza Taylor) head. A team led by Bellamy (Bob Morley) and Kane (Henry Ian Cusick) go on a mission to save her, penetrating Grounder territory in order to do so. Meanwhile, Murphy (Richard Harmon) reaches the mansion and finds a radically different Jaha (Isaiah Washington).

Fans will recall that Clarke was last seen running into the woods, presumably giving up her position and place with her people to strike out on her own. And who can blame her, after everything that had happened to her in the finale?

The latest trailer shows a different Clarke, who appears to still be reeling from the events of season two. A voice is heard at the start of the clip, asking to be told about the mountain. A dining room is shown, with people all slumped over and a man holding a woman, her face covered with blood. Clarke answers that she did what she had to do. A tower in the middle of what appears to be a city is shown. Collider posited that it's the same tower that Clarke is looking at in the season 3 poster and might be the capital city of the Grounders.

The rest of the trailer show clips of the different groups, the dialogue hinting at the impending end of the truce between the Grounders and the Sky People. Indra is shown informing the Sky people that Clarke is being hunted by everyone, which is probably the reason for her new look and hair colour.

Clarke, in bed with an unknown character, has set tongues wagging. Some are saying that it might be Lexa (Alycia Denam-Carey) while others say it's Niylah (Jessica Harmon), a character that's set to be introduced this season.

Luckily, whatever questions fans have will soon be answered as "The 100" season 3 will return on Jan. 21.
