'The 100' season 3 news: Jasper coping with Maya's death; last season for the show?

After three long months, "The 100" is back for its third season, and it is going to take the intense plots and heartbreaks one step further.
The second season left viewers with a genocide scene at Mount Weather, and Maya (Eve Harlow) died along the way — in her boyfriend's arms. In season 3, viewers will see how Jasper Jordan (Devon Bostick), Maya's boyfriend, copes with her death.
"His best friends murdered his girlfriend and an entire civilization so that's screwing him up on a daily basis," Bostick said in an interview with IGN.
But will there be more stories about the Mount Weather people? Showrunner Jason Rothenberg has some juicy revelations in his talk with The Wrap.
"Last season we told the Mount Weather story, the season before that we told the hundred's story. This season we're telling ALIE's story and the Ice Nation story and so on," he said. "It will always change."
Meanwhile, Clarke (Eliza Taylor), who killed all the people of Mount Weather with Bellamy (Bob Morley), left Camp Jaha (which is now named as Arkadia) and is now on the run. A bounty is on her head, and the Grounders are not going to rest until they get her.
"Metaphorically she's hiding from herself, but will quickly realize you can't hide from who you are. Ultimately, she'll get pulled back into the story... and the hero that she is can't be held back," Rothenberg further detailed.
Octavia (Marie Avgeropoulos), for her part, had some rollercoaster of emotions in the last season. In a preview obtained by IGN, she and Lincoln (Ricky Whittle) is seen to be living again with the people of Arkadia. But not without their own challenges to face.
Many more is in store in the third season, but would this be the end of the season, which viewers speculated after Rothenberg's recent tweet?
The showrunner negated the idea. He said that the season 3 finale will not be the end of the entire series and that he has some "cool" ideas for the next season. "It would be a horrible mistake on the part of the people... to not let us tell that story," he concluded.
"The 100" season 3 premieres tonight (Jan. 21) at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
