New footage for "Tekken 7" was shown during this year's Tokyo Game Show (TGS). The new trailer featured the story mode for the latest installment of the franchise. It also showed the smooth transition from a battle mode to a cutscene between two fighters.

The latest promotional clip focused on the gameplay of the story mode for "Tekken 7." As stated in reports, the latest footage showed a battle between the classic character Heihachi Mishima and Akuma from the "Street Fighter" franchise. The two characters are suited to battle each other since Heihachi has been one of the strongest fighters in the roster of "Tekken" while Akuma is known to be one of the hardest bosses in "Street Fighter."

The new trailer may be similar to the one that was shown during the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) back in June. The only difference is that the new footage was actually played from the PlayStation 4 and it showcased the story mode of the latest installment.

One of the interesting features that the trailer boasts of is the clean transition of the pre-rendered cutscenes directly to the fighting of the characters. This is the first time that this has been done for the franchise, and it makes the story mode even more exciting to play.

It was seen in the trailer that two iconic fighting characters are battling it out. Heihachi has been giving strong kicks and punches towards his opponent, Akuma. Heihachi is also trying to block the spamming Hadoken attacks of his opponent.

Moreover, the upcoming installment will also end the plot arc of the Mishima Bloodline which has been going on for a long time now. The story mainly focused on Kazuya Mishima and Jin Kazama and their powerful Devil Gene. It will now delve deeper to the origins of the mysterious gene and this is probably why Akuma will be introduced.

There is no exact release date yet for "Tekken 7," but it will be released in early 2017 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
