'Teen Wolf' season 6 rumors: Stiles Stilinski still part of new season

(Facebook / Teen Wolf)Dylan O'Brien is a fan favorite on "Teen Wolf," and while he is still recuperating from an accident, new reports claim he has shot some scenes for the upcoming season.

Rumors suggest that actor Dylan O'Brien shot scenes for "Teen Wolf" season 6.

The accident O'Brien figured in led fans to worry about his character Stiles Stilinski on the show. Initial reports suggest that it was just a minor accident but was later on reported to have almost caused the actor's life. The accident happened while the actor was filming for the movie "The Maze Runner: Death Cure," where he is the main star. Shooting for the film was then suspended, but shooting for "Teen Wolf" season 6 continued.

Stiles is the best friend of the lead star of the series, Scott McCall, played by actor Tyler Posey. Stiles has been a main cast since the show began and has become one of the show's favorite characters. Aside Stiles and Tyler's friendship, viewers of the show have been waiting for the romantic relationship between Stiles and Lydia Martin (Holland Roden) to flourish.

Stiles had the biggest crush on Lydia since the freshmen season, and while Lydia has been with many other guys throughout the show, it has been hinted that she has reciprocated Stiles' feelings. On the other hand, the last two seasons featured Stiles to be in a relationship with Malia Tate (Shelley Hennig), but scenes suggest Lydia remains special to him. Moreover, Malia and Stiles broke up in season 5 finale.

The first episode of season 6 has been announced to be a big moment for Stiles and Lydia. While it has been teased that a relationship between the two would start, fans have been warned that it could be the other way. Stiles has not been back to work yet and fans have become worried he will not be in season 6.

New reports suggest that O'Brien has already shot some scenes prior to the accident. It is reported that the big scene between him and Roden has been done. However, there is no official confirmation from the show's producers yet.
