'Teen Wolf' season 6 spoilers, news: The evolution of Scott and Lydia
As "Teen Wolf" comes closer to its end with the upcoming sixth season, actor Tyler Posey and Holland Roden talk about the characters they have grown with.
During the San Diego Comic-Con, Posey, who plays the lead character Scott McCall, said he felt that it is his character who evolved most. He said that it was a conscious effort on his part as an actor because he knew that when the series started, Scott was "in a really weird position — kind of an outcast and even more so now that he was a newly transformed werewolf that he wanted nothing to do with."
He said that through the seasons, and the ups and downs that came with them, Scott has learned to come out of his own. Tyler also expressed admiration for his character who remained a hero and genuine person through it all.
Roden, who has been part of the main cast since season 1, plays Lydia Holland who later on discovered her genetic supernatural side. She recalled how her character turned from the mean girl to one of the best friends of the gang on the show. She also likened her character to those people who are misunderstood because they don't give up that easily. She said, "To see her evolution of really empathizing with people, not only just sympathizing with them" is her evolution.
In related news, actor Dylan O'Brien, who missed most of the filming period, and whose character remains very much a part of the season, was finally seen in public. O'Brien plays Stiles in the series, but while working on his movie "The Maze Runner," he figured in an accident and had to disappear from the public eye while recuperating.
News about his recovery has been scarce and people have been waiting for updates about him. The picture was posted by a user named Vanessa Denegri on Twitter on July 31. The actor looks like he has healed completely and has grown some beard. The caption says, 'MY LIFE HAS BEEN MADE, meeting you was the best thing ever @dylanobrien" along with some emojis.
"Teen Wolf" season 6 is scheduled to premiere in November on MTV.
