'Teen Wolf' season 6 episode 3 sneak peek and spoilers: The search for Stiles continues; can a party stop the Ghost Riders?

(Facebook/TeenWolf)Scott, Malia, and Lydia continue to search for Stiles.

The search for Stiles is on.

"Teen Wolf" season 6 is asking viewers a very interesting question — what will your life be like if you haven't met that one special person. For Scott (Tyler Posey), Malia (Shelley Hennig), and Lydia (Holland Roden), it means becoming less human and more of the monster you were trying to control.

The previous episode did a good job in showing the little ways they're being affected by Stiles' (Dylan O'Brien) absence. Avid fans of the show no doubt enjoyed the little callbacks to earlier seasons, like Scott waking up in the woods or Malia sleeping on a pile of rags.

But perhaps the most important — and weirdest — change in Beacon Hills is the appearance of Stiles' mom. Aside from the fact that she's been dead for a decade, no explanation has been given (yet) for her resurrection.

"Teen Wolf" showrunner Jeff Davis recently explained to TV Line that they "wanted to show what Sheriff Stilinski's life would be like without Stiles," but with his wife in the picture. Davis also teased that where she came from and how she returned is "a big part of the mystery."

Episode 6 will find Scott, Lydia, and Malia continue to search for answers as to who Stiles is. Meanwhile, the Ghost Riders will continue their rampage and it's now up to Liam (Dylan Sprayberry) to try and keep a friend safe from them.

A trailer for the upcoming episode, "Sundowning," shows Scott giving instructions to protect Gwen (Alisha Boe). It would appear that Liam's idea is to be at a party, perhaps in the hopes that the Ghost Riders won't attack when there's a lot of people. Unfortunately, that doesn't stop the Rider and now there's the added complication that a lot of people might be affected.

Meanwhile, Scott goes to Sheriff Stilinski (Linden Ashby) and tells him that he thinks "somebody was taken from us." Unfortunately, he can't tell him who, just that he believes it might have been his best friend.

It's still early in the season, but the emotional aspect of the story arc seems to be resonating well with viewers. No doubt it would only intensify once they remember who Stiles is.

Episode 3 of "Teen Wolf" season 6 is set to be aired on Nov. 29 at 9 p.m.
