'Teen Wolf' season 5 premiere spoilers: plot to center on search for Desert Wolf

Season five's first teaser trailer was revealed on Sunday at the MTV awards ceremony, giving devout followers of the show their first look into their beloved characters. Not only is the trailer scarier and darker than its earlier counterparts, but its 20-episode season (nearly double of last season's) promises action-packed episodes.
The trailer introduces a new super-villain that threatens Scott's pack: the doctors. These aren't the ones that cure ailments, but the ones that seem to want to experiment on Scott's pack. A shot of needles prodding and poking into skin is seen, clearly indicating the doctor's aren't a friendly bunch. TVLine reports that the doctors have an affinity to torture and executive producer Jeff Davis confirmed that the new antagonists blur the lines between science and supernatural.
He said, "It's very much about our teenagers becoming adults and heading into their senior year. But as always, we bring in some new mysteries and new monsters. I think this season is very much about the line between science and supernatural." As reported earlier, Tyler Hoechlin will be visibly absent this season but that won't be the last of him. Davis insists that fans haven't seen the last of Derek Hale just yet.
Davis also spoke to Buzzfeed and made it clear that the plot for season five will center on the search for Malia's mother, the Desert Wolf. He explained, "The Desert Wolf is huge for Malia. It's going to affect her deeply and make her question the kind of person she is. It could even affect her relationship with Stiles and tear them apart."
He also explained that, while Deputy Parish's real identity is unknown in the first half of the season, it will become clearer as the episode ends. Theo is a new character who is a lone wolf looking for a pack.
Season five airs in June on MTV.
