Scott decides to take on the Beast by himself in an all-new episode of "Teen Wolf." The upcoming episode titled "Maid of Gevaudan" will also reveal more clues about the identity of the Beast of Gevaudan, as told by the Argent family.

According to showrunner Jeff Davis, the 18th episode will be a flashback-heavy episode and will retell events that transpired in 18th century France. These flashbacks will reveal more information about the Beast.

"We definitely learn more about [The Beast]. There's plenty of research and literature out there about the myth of The Beast and what it actually was. Was it a prehistoric animal that somehow survived? Was it actually a pack of wolves? We delve into that and we try to tell the true story, and our Argents intersect with that," Davis told Entertainment Weekly.

The upcoming episode will also see the return of actress Crystal Reed who portrayed Allison Argent up until her character's death in season 3. However, Reed won't be returning as the deceased Allison. Rather, she will portray Argent ancestor Marie-Jeanne Valet.

Based on the promo, Valet was a skilled huntress known as the Maid of Gevaudan. Valet's introduction via flashbacks will definitely intersect with The Beast's storyline.

"There are little things I got to do with the character that Allison might have done – a little look or a gesture or the way she walks; I sort of made sure they were a little bit the same because they're family after all," Reed revealed to BuzzFeed.

Aside from having similar features, Valet also shares the same talent with the bow and arrow and the same strong sense for justice as Alison. It is these heroic qualities that enabled her to defeat The Beast .

With the mysterious identity of The Beast being slowly uncovered, will Scott and his pack finally find a way to destroy this terrifying creature?
