It has been two years since music pop star Taylor Swift released her "1989" album, and fans are looking forward to her possible 2017 release if the artist remains consistent with her usual trend of releasing a new album every two years. Swift, who is known to write songs about her past boyfriends, is said to be in touch with her ex-lover Tom Hiddleston regarding the contents of the songs she wrote expressing her sentiments during the times they were together.

Reports reveal that Swift is writing a couple of songs inspired by her short-lived relationship with Hiddleston that lasted for only two months. The two high-profile celebrities reportedly parted ways in a cordial manner, and Swift is rumored to be keeping in touch with the British actor, showing him drafts of her new songs. It is believed that nothing will go on record without Hiddleston's consent.

Critics believe it is unlikely for Swift to make time to keep in touch with an ex, more so, to get his consent on the content of her songs. But the two reportedly remain good friends and Swift wants Hiddleston's honest opinion about her latest project. It is such a big contrast to how the country singer's relationship with longtime boyfriend DJ Calvin Harris turned out after their very public breakup several months ago.

Harris came out with his own diss song aimed at the 27-year-old country star titled "My Way," believing that she cheated on him with Hiddleston. Swift's brief relationship with Hiddleston started two weeks after her breakup with Harris.

In a previous interview with Vogue, Swift mentioned that she was planning on taking a break from music in order to learn new things that include making a good drink and getting certified to do a CPR. But in almost the same breath, the young star added that anything can happen, saying, "The thing is, with me, I could very well come up with three things in the next two weeks and then jump back into the studio. And all of a sudden the next record is started. That's an option too."

Meanwhile, Swift recently collaborated with former One Direction member Zayn Malik for "I Don't Wanna Live Forever," which will be part of the soundtrack of the movie "Fifty Shades Darker." It is believed that Swift co-wrote the song with Sam Dew and Jack Antonoff. The song has sold 200,000 copies on its first week of release and is expected to make good in the music charts in the next few weeks.

There is no official statement yet regarding Swift's 2017 album.
