Exciting things are happening in season 11 of "Supernatural" as it draws closer towards the end. As the Winchester brothers battle the Darkness/Amara (Emily Swallow), Rowena (Ruth Connell) comes back.

According to the spoiler for episode 22 titled "We Happy Few," the witch is back with her own agenda. However, her plan backfires and will greatly affect the lives of other characters including Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles).

In the previous episodes, the Winchester brothers teamed up with Metatron (Curtis Armstrong) to save Castiel (Misha Collins) from Amara. God/Chuck (Rob Benedict) also helped, but not after he explained to Metatron where he has been all this time. So what happens next?

The synopsis for episode 22 hints that the brothers will have to face their "biggest challenge" yet as they try to stop the Darkness from succeeding. However, aside from that, the creators of "Supernatural" seem to be pretty secretive about the next episode as the finale episode nears.

Even the promo video for episode 22 does not say much about what's going to happen in the penultimate episode. The voiceover says that there will be a battle royale of biblical proportions between the forces of good and evil. Then, in another scene, the brothers are asking God/Charles if he really needs to win, while another scene shows the Darkness enveloped in a pillar of fire. However, it is unclear whether she summons the fire herself or if it was meant to consume her.

The voiceover also says something about angels and demons and Sam quipping that it's not going to be easy. A scene also shows the group having a meeting where they might be discussing their strategy to defeat the Darkness. Then, in another scene, Metatron was asking what the plan was.

The most mysterious scene perhaps is at the end of the clip where Castiel quips that it is getting "weird." His expression, however, doesn't give a hint of what the quip was all about.

"Supernatural" airs every Wednesday at 9 p.m. EST on The CW.
