'Supernatural' season 11 spoilers: Dean, Sam hunt down 'green-eyed' monsters in episode 19

(Facebook/Supernatural)Sam and Dean take on a bunch of zombie-like monsters in the upcoming episode of "Supernatural."

The upcoming episode of "Supernatural" will take a break from the convoluted drama between Amara (guest star Emily Swallow) and her big brother God. Instead, the Winchester brothers will have to track down creepy monsters with scary green eyes in the show's April 27 episode.

In "The Chitters," the promo reveals that Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) will learn of a series of attacks on humans. When they check it out, the sheriff will tell them that alien-like monsters have been preying on the townspeople. Upon further inquiry, a woman will inform them that the creatures they are looking for are called chitters. They look like zombies with filmy green eyes and sharp teeth. In one scene, Dean will come face to face with one, which he manages to subdue with a well-placed hit by a shovel.

Last episode, the Winchesters were once again busy trying to find a way to take down Amara. Crowley (Mark Sheppard) told them of the Horn Of Joshua, which, according to him, was the only way to defeat the Darkness. Crowley got it from an Arab man who tried to bargain the object in exchange for his life. He has a condition though. He would give the horn if Sam and Dean would help him exorcise Lucifer from Castiel's (Misha Collins) body and lock him up once again in his cage.

They cooked up a strategy to capture the devil. Castiel, however, did not want to purge Lucifer out of his body, as he really thought he was the only one who could defeat Amara. When Lucifer was about to kill Sam and Dean, Amara suddenly arrived and took her nephew away. She believed that her brother would talk to her if she tortured His first and favorite son. Lucifer, however, thought she was wishing for a miracle. Is he right?

"Supernatural" season 11 episode 19 airs on Wednesday, April 27 at 9 p.m. EST on The CW.
