'Suits' season 6B rumors: Mike to accept Harvey's offer, will pursue a law degree

(Facebook/Suits)Will Mike finally pursue law school on "Suits" season 6B?

Although the remaining half of "Suits" season 6 is not expected to arrive earlier than January 2017, avid fans of the show continue to talk about the possibilities that may happen to the lives of the series' characters when it returns for its episode 11. Among the numerous speculations, though, the ones claiming that Mike (Patrick J. Adams) will accept Harvey's (Gabriel Macht) job offer and pursue a law degree are the most persistent.

The first half of "Suits" season focused mostly on Mike's life behind bars. However, just before the series embarked on months of hiatus, Mike was finally released from prison and Harvey offered him a position at the Pearson Specter Litt as a consultant.

With the same amount of salary offered to him for his position as a junior partner of the law firm prior to going to jail, it is now expected that Mike will accept the invitation. However, apart from being a part of the lawy firm anew, it is also suspected that Mike will grab the opportunity to finally pursue a law degree this time. After all, apart from having pretended as a lawyer for the past years, Mike's potentials to be a real and eligible lawyer have been highlighted on "Suits" — thanks to his keen attention on details and persistence to have things work on his favor.

However, some can't help but be pessimistic whether Mike will really pursue a law degree. For one thing, he does not possess any bachelor's degree, and knowing the meticulous process of law school admissions, one can only wonder how Mike will pull things off in the event that he decides to attend law school.

Meanwhile, apart from the possibility of Mike accepting Harvey's offer and pursuing a law degree, it is also alleged that there is a chance for Pearson Specter Litt and Zane law firms to merge after Robert Zane (Wendell Pierce) proposed a merger in the season 6A finale. While it's true that Jessica Pearson (Gina Torres) already thumbed down the merger, it seems that the decision is not hers to make.

"Robert Zane is going to have to decide, and we're going to wonder: Is he going to keep this offer on the table, or is he not. And whether he keeps it on the table or doesn't, how are Louis (Rick Hoffman) and Harvey going to respond to that? That is absolutely one of the focuses of (episode) 6.11," "Suits" showrunner Aaron Korsh hinted in an interview with TV Line recently.
