The second half of "Suits" season 6 is not slated to arrive earlier than next year, but there are already numerous unconfirmed reports attached to it. However, the latest in the rumor mill is that Mike (Patrick J. Adams) and Rachel (Meghan Markle) will finally pick up the pieces of their shattered relationship, but their reconciliation will not last long.

To recall, Mike and Rachel were already supposed to get married in "Suits" season 5. However, the wedding did not push through because Mike was arrested for illegal practice of law and fraud. At the end of the first half of "Suits" season 6, though, Mike was eventually released from prison and is on his way to starting his life anew.

According to the latest reports, Mike and Rachel will finally pick up where their relationship left off. However, while Rachel knows in her heart of hearts that she really loves Mike, the paralegal lawyer will be of two minds in reconciling with him because of Mike being now an ex-convict.

In an interview with "Suits" creator Aaron Korsh with Deadline last September, he disclosed that everything about "Suits" season 6B will be a transitional phase for its characters, including for Mike and Rachel. According to Korsh, this transition in the lives of the characters will give them a more solid realization of what they really want to do with their lives, which will be reflected on the show's upcoming season 7.

"All of our characters are going through a lot of changes in their lives, and they have to figure out what they're going to do next, and I think by the end of these next six episodes, they should land on what they're really going to do, it will leave them to a little bit more stability next season. For our show, it's a transitional phase that will lead to a new paradigm for the show next year moving forward. So I think for Mike, it's about figuring out what's he going to do with his life," Korsh said.
