The sixth season of the hit legal drama series "Suits" will follow Mike Ross' life in jail after he pleaded guilty for the charges filed against him in the previous season. Patrick J. Adams hinted that his character may become an investigator for Pearson Specter Litt law firm, but first, he has to find his way in prison.

In his recent interview with Zap2it, Adams talked about the season 5 finale episode titled "25th Hour," what's next for Rachel Zane (Meghan Markle) and the firm now that Mike is gone.

"Now that he's in this brand new environment, and stripped of [everything], it's going to be: Who is Mike? He's finally free of his secret. He's finally done the absolute right thing, and the weight is not just off his shoulders' but off of everyone's," he said when asked what he thinks would happen next. He clarified, though, that no one has seen the script for the upcoming season as the production team only provides it a week before they start shooting.

He also admitted that he does not think Mike can jump back into the firm as a lawyer, but "people have floated the idea of him being an investigator for the firm."

Would there be any time jumps? Show creator Aaron Korsh told The Hollywood Reporter that season 6 will pick up where the fifth season left off. "You want to see how we're going to get out of it in a specific way. We'll often always think about a time jump and then a flashback, but then we counter with wondering why we just don't pick it up there in the first place," he said.

He further added that they are contemplating that the first episode will show Mike's first night in prison as well as the first night at the firm when Jessica Pearson (Gina Torres) and the rest of the team have come back and see it empty. Avid viewers have taken a glimpse of the latter scenario in a video posted on the show's official Facebook page.

No matter what happens, family sticks together.
