'Suits' season 6 spoilers: Harvey battles with depression after fraud fiasco in premiere

Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) will not be able to keep his legendary cool over the problems that he and his beloved firm will be facing in the sixth season of "Suits."
Mike Ross' (Patrick J. Adams) fraud case damaged the reputation of Pearson Specter Litt to a huge extent, even if he did make a last-second attempt to salvage the situation. Harvey's protégée decided to agree to a plea bargain so that the investigation on the firm and its lawyers would stop. The court was looking at Harvey and the others as accessories to the crime. Mike sacrificed his freedom, knowing he could never make up for the inconvenience he caused with his dishonesty.
For Harvey, bringing Mike in to the firm without first checking his background was a huge mistake. He got swayed by the man's ability fast and never questioned his credentials. Harvey treated Mike as his own son and they were pretty close. As much as he wants to be angry with his prodigy's deceit, Harvey cannot bring himself to hate Mike. He will face the rebuilding of his firm without complaint, something that is not easy to do, considering almost everyone is gone. The associates in Pearson Specter Litt have flown the coop and only the founding attorneys are left behind in season 6.
According to Macht in his interview with Pedestrian, the entire experience had a huge effect on his character. Viewers have always seen him as someone invincible, perfectly capable of getting what he wants and confident with his ability. Beneath that "coat of armor" lie insecurities that he has been bottling up for so long. The fraud fiasco has triggered the slow destruction of this shell, as fans will see him vulnerable and almost human in the upcoming installment.
"Since season 1 I've been pushing for him to be more three-dimensional. We've seen a guy who's really presented himself along with his suit as a coat of armor. It's unbreakable. It's uber-confidence for the insecurity that's deep inside of him. He overcompensates for the insecurities he has what's inside of him. But I've often found that he could be more human, and we could see a little underneath the armor. We've chipped away at that throughout the seasons. And thankfully, he's put this guy in therapy to deal with his demons," the actor shared.
Meanwhile, show creator Aaron Korsh hinted that someone is bound to die in the new season. In a Q and A session with fans, he answered one of the queries on whether he was planning to kill a major character soon. Korsh said it was possible, as no one could be considered safe in the series. He said that the death of Louis Litt's (Rick Hoffman) secretary should be clue enough that they have the guts to do whatever they want in the plot.
"Suits" season 6 will make its premiere July 13, Wednesday, on the USA Network.
