Steven Universe season 4 release date, spoilers news: The series not canceled, creator confirms

(Facebook/Steven Universe)"Steven Universe" season 4 may just resume in time for American Thanksgiving Day.

It is safe to say that Cartoon Network's hit animated series "Steven Universe" is not in the brink of cancellation, creator Rebecca Sugar confirms.

At the recent New York Comic-Con panel for "Steven Universe," Sugar addressed numerous rumors that the series is facing cancellation. However, the creator did not reveal a good amount of details for the upcoming second half of the fourth season. Fans of the series continue to throw in their theories for the upcoming season's storyline.

New speculations surfaced that a younger Greg may be introduced in the season when he and Rose were still in a relationship. Plus, a possible Steven-Peridot fusion may finally come true. When the series returns, it is expected to highlight Rose Quartz the most.

As for the Steven and Peridot fusion, this theory came from a Reddit forum suggesting that the union of the two is possible since the only known character that can balance Peridot is Steven. When they merge, a new character will be introduced. However, this theory should be taken with a grain of salt since no one from the production team has confirmed this.

Another plot speculation is Yellow Diamond's possible return in Steven's life. Apparently, Yellow Diamond is eyeing on getting the Crystal Gems so she might pay Steven a visit. Not only Yellow is speculated to make a comeback, Blue Diamond may also make his appearance in Beach City.

As to the date of season 4's return, there are reports suggesting that it could come out in November. The first seven seasons of the series have already aired on Cartoon Network. It looks like the season break will be over until November, so episode 8 is expected to air next month.

Also, "Adventure Time" voice actress Ashly Burch will be a guest voice in the upcoming episodes of "Steven Universe." However, there are no further details about her character.
