The new year always brings wonderful surprises and calls for new beginnings. For creators of "Steven Universe," however, it seems they may have started the year a bit roughly.

Last Jan. 2, fans of Cartoon Network's animated series were astounded by what appeared to be a blunder on their part as all five new episodes were posted on the website. They weren't teasers, instead they were full episodes, which can arguably spoil it once it airs officially starting Jan. 30. Those who were able to stream them said they were able to do so via cable login.

Not long after, co-writer Matt Burnett tweeted that indeed it was mistakenly uploaded on Cartoon Network's website. He said that it was a very fun arc to work on, yet could be secretly hoping that fans still watch it when it gets released on TV.

The trouble with such a slipup is that anyone could have downloaded all five clips and distributed them even prior to the five-episode launch. This would greatly affect the measured reception of the new installments as there won't be a way to measure interest once everyone has seen them prior the official date "Steven Universe" returns.

There are those fans, however, who promised to still watch them once they are released on TV. Generally, the leaked clips garnered positive reception from fans who were able to catch a glimpse of all five unreleased episodes.

Here are all the synopses of the five episodes. 

Monday, Jan. 30: "Steven's Dream" —  A strange dream prompts Steven to search for answers.

Monday, Jan. 30: "Adventures in Light Distortion" — Steven and the Gems take off on a search and recovery mission.

Tuesday, Jan. 31: "Gem Heist" — The Gems try to pull off a heist.

Wednesday, Feb. 1: "The Zoo" — Steven visits a special zoo.

Thursday, Feb. 2: "That Will Be All" — Steven and the Gems make a daring escape!

Here's to hoping that true-blue fans of "Steven Universe" watch the five episodes starting Jan. 30 on Cartoon Network.
