(Facebook/Star War Rebels)Will Ezra join the dark side in season three?

With the current season of "Star Wars Rebels" ongoing, fans have been witnessing the development of their favorite characters.

One of the most talked about characters, Ezra, is expected to grow a lot in the current season of the series. The animated show has been following his story and has teased that there are many changes still in store for him, especially due to Kanan's lessons.

One of the show's creators, Dave Filoni, explained that Ezra's journey will still be explored in later episodes of the season.

In an interview with /Film, Filoni said: "I think that's the allure of the Dark Side is that you're gonna be given a lot of these abilities with much quicker returns. And so that's deceptive. You think oh I'm getting more powerful, you don't realize you're kind of getting enslaved to that power and that idea of power and control. As opposed to like the discipline of learning a skill and taking time with it."

In addition, Filoni said that this is expected to show young viewers the art of mastering a skill. He hopes that viewers will be able to relate to Ezra's thirst for knowledge and reaching his potential.

In the same interview, Filoni added, "[This] is something that kids struggle with, you know. Like practice, practice makes perfect, you know. They don't wanna follow that. So they want an easy answer."

With that, audiences will continue seeing Ezra's conflict with his own integrity as well as his desire to be the best. However, fans will have to wait awhile to see this side of Ezra's narrative.

It was reported that the upcoming episode of the series, which is titled "The Last Battle," will put more focus on Captain Rex. It was stated that fans will see Captain Rex partaking on a salvage mission where he will be faced with a battle to end the Clone Wars.

"The Last Battle" is set to air this Oct. 22, 8:30 p.m. EST on Disney XD.
