Joining the cast of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" for episode 8 of the franchise is indie film actress Kelly Marie Tran. Disney has done everything to keep the details of the upcoming film under wraps, including the details of the new characters. However, recently, news broke out of a leaked scene description which described Tran's role in the upcoming film.

According to I Was Raised to Do One Thing, Tran's character name might be Aya; however, the author of the blog post suggested that it might have been just a code name.

In the report, the author claimed that the information they have provided was from an inside source. The insider might have been a member of the crew for the upcoming film, since the report provided detailed information of Tran's scene.

According to the insider, Tran shares a scene with John Boyega, who plays Finn in "The Force Awakens." The scene is set in a bar, which is "fancier" than the bars in the previous films. The source stressed that the characters do not have a romantic relationship. Tran's character flirts a little, but isn't reciprocated by Boyega's character.

The author guessed that Tran might be playing an "information broker" who auctions valuable information and sells it to the highest bidder. The scene ends with stormtroopers arriving and looking for Finn. They shoot at him, but Tran's character helps him escape.

Again, there has been no official word from Disney. They haven't confirmed the rumors, so fans might as well wait for the trailer or the movie itself.

The indie actress is known for her comedic roles in "CollegeHumor." She has also appeared on television, in two episodes of "About A Boy" and in an episode of "Comedy Bang! Bang!" Other than this, she has been a part of several indie films— "Untouchable," "The Rising Cost of Cosmetics," and "Andy's CDs" to name a few.

The eighth installment of the "Star Wars" franchise will hit theatres on Dec. 15, 2017.
