Song Joong-Ki spotted being close to 'Descendants of the Sun' co-star Song Hye-Kyo?
Is Song-Song for real? This is the question of the many avid fans of the hit Korean drama "Descendants of the Sun," which featured the undeniably most famous South Korean male star today, Song Joong-Ki, and the equally popular Song Hye-Kyo. It is speculated that the two have gone beyond the reel love connection as they have become a real-life couple after they were recently spotted being lovey-dovey at the recently concluded 52nd Baeksang Arts Awards.
According to a report, the globally adored small screen pair were spotted holding hands while walking down the red carpet at the said event. As if the scene was not enough to ignite speculations that the two are dating in real life, many fans swore that the two had more sweet moments at the awards night.
Allegedly, Song Joong-Ki was seen holding the hand of Song Hye-Kyo after it was announced that another Korean actress, Kim Hye Su, won the trophy for the Best Actress category, where Song Hye-Kyo was nominated for her role in "Descendants of the Sun." For those who witnessed it, it was a sweet gesture from the actor to assure the actress that things were okay despite her loss.
Meanwhile, fans continue to clamor for a sequel to the monster hit TV drama series "Descendants of the Sun." There were reports claiming that Song Joong-Ki had already started filming his scenes for the rumored sequel. However, it turned out that those were just rumors as both Song Joong-Ki and Song Hye-Kyo are currently busy with their respective show biz commitments.
While there is still no certainty on the sequel, fans can perhaps content themselves with the announced DVD and Blu-Ray Director Cut copies of "Descendants of the Sun," which will also include behind-the-scene footages and never-seen-before photos of the cast.
The said DVD and Blu-Ray Director Cut copies of "Descendants of the Sun" are expected to come out between July and December this year.
