'Sleepy Hollow' season 3 episode 8 spoilers: fall finale sees Abbie and Crane face a living god; series will have new timeslot in 2016
The fall finale of "Sleepy Hollow" season three is here and the two Witnesses are pitted against someone that Crane has described as a "living god." On top of that, Jenny's connection to the Shard of Anubis might mean dire things for her, especially after Pandora has forced her to swear loyalty to an unknown hooded figure.
For a small town, there's been a lot of activity recently in "Sleepy Hollow" that had Abbie (Nicole Beharie) and Crane (Tom Mison) scrambling. The previous episode saw the two Witnesses going up against Nordic Berserkers who were summoned by Atticus Nevins (Bill Irwin). The question as to where Pandora (Shannyn Sossamon) went and what she's up to was also answered, in a manner of speaking, when the mysterious figure placed Jenny (Lyndie Greenwood) in a trance and had her kneel before another mysterious figure and swear that she would help him carry out his plans.
The events of episode seven, "The Art of War," will definitely be felt in episode eight. A synopsis for the upcoming episode teases that Abbie will be in trouble with her boss after Sophie (Jessica Camacho) revealed her true identity. However, that would pale in comparison to what she and Crane are up against as they face an evil that they could not have imagined.
Fans were given a glimpse of this great evil in the stills and trailer for episode eight, which incidentally is also the show's fall finale. The clip for the fall finale, titled "Novus Ordo Seclorum" starts with Abbie checking if Crane was ready to fight the bad guys. Pandora is then seen at the river, unwrapping a mummy and exclaiming that he's alive. This is followed by scenes of the mummy attacking someone and Crane revealing that they are facing a living god. The feisty lieutenant has a different take and tells Crane and Joe (Zach Appelman) that Pandora and her boyfriend should be put down. The teaser ends with Crane trying to stop someone from opening something and Pandora telling Abbie that nothing can be changed.
Episode eight of "Sleepy Hollow's" third season will be aired on Nov. 19. The series will then go on hiatus and will return to a new timeslot on February 5, 2016.
