The women of "Sleepy Hollow" are undeniably formidable, as proven by Abbie and Sophie's take down of a giant worm monster. But will circumstances force Abbie to ally herself with another strong woman, her nemesis Pandora?

The previous episode, "Into the Woods," saw Abbie (Nicole Beharie) and Sophie (Jessica Camacho) being assigned together in the FBI's team-building exercise. But what was supposed to be a learning exercise soon turned deadly when a 4,000-year-old creature known as a Verslinder attacked them. The two women did a good job fending off the monster before helped arrived in the form of Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison).

Abbie and Sophie working together was something that seemed unlikely to happen when the season started, but circumstances changed that. Now, a different set of circumstances might force Abbie to once more work with someone unexpected. According to a synopsis for episode 15, "Incommunicado," an unexpected "supernatural event forces Abbie and Ichabod to ally themselves with their natural enemies." Meanwhile, Jenny (Lyndie Greenwood) and Joe's (Zach Appelman) relationship are beginning to be tested by their personal demons.

The episode's corresponding trailer teases Abbie's newfound ally but not much about Jenny and Joe's relationship and wendigo problems. The clip starts with the Hidden One (Peter Mensah) surprising Crane in his sanctuary. He throws the time-displaced soldier against the wall and Force-chokes him, telling him they have all forgotten their place. Viewers are then given a quick glimpse of a horned creature, which is presumably the monster-of-the-week. Jenny and Abbie are on the phone; the former warns her sister not to hook-up with Pandora (Shannyn Sossamon) while the latter counters that they have to save Crane. Abbie does appear to be making an alliance with Pandora. There's even a chance she might be amenable to it, given how things ended with the Hidden One last time. The clip ends with an apt reaction from Crane, who appears to be blown away with the idea of Pandora helping them.

Abbie and Crane teaming up with Pandora is quite the twist, if "Sleepy Hollow" can pull it off. It might even bring in more people back to the show, something that - as Design & Trend pointed out - the series desperately needs in order for it to be renewed for a fourth season.

"Sleepy Hollow" season 3 episode 15 will be aired on Fox on March 18.
