'Sleepy Hollow/ Bones' crossover synopsis promises intrigue with Redcoats, evil forces and undead; 2-hour special airing before Halloween

FOX has been trying to revamp its series recently and with Halloween popping up in a couple of weeks, the network will be trying to do the unimaginable by crossing over two popular shows. 

According to Enstarz, writers for both "Bones" and "Sleepy Hollow" are having a hard time figuring out how to connect the two shows. But FOX reports that the crossover will be happening this month, just in time for a Halloween-type episode. 

 SpoilerTV reports that the network has already released the synopsis of the upcoming crossover of Agent Abbie Mills (Nicole Beharie) and Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison). The pair is slated journey to the Jefferesonian to retrieve a body that is already in the hands of Dr. Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Agent Booth (David Boreanaz). The team will now find a link between their cases.

Booth and Brennan will also make their way to the "Sleepy Hollow" universe as Abbie and Crane try to find the supernatural forces that is troubling the FBI. SpoilerTV has also released a plot for the upcoming "Sleepy Hollow" episode, that reads:

"With Brennan and Booth in tow, Abbie and Crane set out to prove that supernatural forces are at play when a mysterious death plagues the FBI. As Pandora (Shannyn Sossamon) unleashes a force to awaken the dangerous Red Coat General Howe (guest star Nicholas Guest), both teams must find a way to save the town from the British Army of the Undead. Can the power of Booth and Brennan combined with Abbie and Crane be enough to stop Pandora's evil forces?

CinemaBlend has already reported that fans are at odds on their opinons about the upcoming crossover as the two shows are on two different sides of the television genre, "Sleepy Hollow" being a supernatural series and "Bones" being a procedural science-driven show. Fans would just have to wait to see if will work out. 

The "Bones/Sleepy Hollow" crossover is set to be aired on Oct. 29, and will be 2-hour special.
