Trevor (Elliott Fletcher) has a difficult decision to make in the upcoming season of "Shameless." Has he really forgiven Ian (Cameron Monaghan) for trying to run away with Mickey (Noel Fisher)?

The Gallagher kid was a mess last installment when it was revealed that his ex-boyfriend escaped prison. Mickey planned to exit the United States via the Mexican border and start a new life somewhere. He wanted Ian to come with him. During that time, Ian was happily in a relationship with Trevor. Mickey's unexpected return shook him. When he was asked to leave everything behind, Ian decided it was worth it as long as he was with Mickey. At the last minute, however, he changed his mind. Ian gave Mickey cash and watched him leave alone.

Ian then returned to Trevor and acted like nothing happened. Fiona (Emmy Rossum) also told him he was better off with the other man. There have been hints, though, that it is not the last time viewers will see Mickey. Fisher said in a previous interview that Mickey and Ian would always love each other. His character may still return and by that time, he may be ready to win back Ian. Whom will Ian choose?

"In the end scene, the love there and the care there is so obvious and so powerful and so palpable that, despite the fact that it ends on somewhat of a sad note, there's a lot of beauty there. Neither of these characters would be who they are without one another. Mickey doesn't have any kind of regrets when it comes to who he is or how he's loved or the time that he's been able to have and spend with Ian. He wouldn't take it back for anything," Fisher said.

Meanwhile, production for season 8 will start in May. Showtime has green-lit twelve episodes. Rossum will continue playing Fiona after ironing out her trouble with the network regarding her pay. The season premiere will be announced soon.
