'Scream' season 3 rumors: Real killer to be revealed; upcoming season to be the last?

(Facebook/Scream)Will "Scream" season 3 finally introduce its version of Brandon James?

After Kieran (Amadeus Serafini) was killed on "Scream" Halloween special by someone wearing a Brandon James mask, it is now heavily believed that the real killer will be finally unveiled in "Scream" season 3, much more that the upcoming season is also rumored to be the last for the MTV series.

The "Scream" Halloween special aired last October finally tied the loose ends that its season 2 finale aired in August left. While many thought that the series would not be renewed for another season because of its poor performance in the ratings game, it was eventually announced that the MTV series got another lease on life.

While Kieran was revealed to be the killer in the series' season 2 finale, there were already suspicions that there may be another one who is, likewise, responsible for the killings as the character got a phone call from someone incognito while he was already in prison. As the unidentified caller reprimanded Kieran for wearing the mask that he alleged to be his originally, many suspected that the original owner of the mask, Brandon James, may be alive after all, and he may be the one responsible for killing Kieran on "Scream" Halloween special.

According to the latest in the rumor mill, it is possible for "Scream" season 3 to feature a new killer, which could be one of the existing characters of the show, although it is also possible for the series to feature someone new. As the entire series has never featured Brandon James, who is known to be the real owner of the mask in the movie version of the story, some suspect that the series may finally introduce its own version of the character.

Meanwhile, apart from the suspicions that "Scream" season 3 may finally reveal or feature a new killer, there are also rumors claiming that the upcoming season of the show may be its last. However, without any official word from MTV at this point in time, everything is just a speculation that may be revealed as true or otherwise when the right time comes.
