Love is in the air, or at least it may be in season 3 of "Scorpion."

Fans of the show have probably been waiting for a while now to finally see the budding romance between Walter and Paige truly blossom and the next season could finally grant their wish.

In an interview with Collider during WonderCon, some of the show's producers, Nick Santora and Nicholas Wootton, and cast members Robert Patrick, Ari Stidham and Eddie Kaye Thomas talked about what may be in store for the remainder of season 2 as well as season 3.

Among the many topics of conversation during the interview were the romantic relationships on the show, specifically the one about Walter, played by Elyes Gabel, and Paige, who is portrayed by Katharine McPhee.

According to Wootton, one of the reasons why the romance still hasn't completely formed between the two is because Walter is not one for being very forward with his emotions.

Considering Walter's intellectual tendencies, his inability to simply allow himself to fall completely for Paige may be a bit understandable.

Still, even if Walter is slow to act, Wootton hinted that good things may be coming to the potential couple. He added that "patience will pay off" when it comes to Walter and Paige's potential relationship, so that could be good news for fans of the couple.

Walter and Paige may not be the only ones with love on their minds in season 3 of "Scorpion."

During the interview, Patrick, who plays Agent Gallo on the show, hinted that he would also like to see his character develop a love interest.

Finding a romantic interest for Agent Gallo may be a bit tougher to pull off however, though that could make for a real surprise should anyone who could be a potential love interest emerge in season 3.

"Scorpion" airs Mondays at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
