'Scandal' season 6 premiere spoilers: A happy ending for Jake, Olivia?

(Facebook/ScandalABC)Fans decide if Jake is the one for Olivia in "Scandal" season 6.

Fans of "Scandal" are torn on who they want Olivia (Kerry Washinton) to end up with in the upcoming season. Will it be Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) or Jake (Scott Foley)?

Recently, Foley told Entertainment Weekly that he was a hundred percent convinced that the lady has chosen his character. Olivia made up her mind to save Jake from Rowan (Joe Morton) last installment. She made him a vice presidential candidate, thinking the move would get him out of her father's reach. According to the actor, Olivia did it out of love, just like when she willingly let him go on the day of his wedding. When she realized Rowan would kill Jake if they ran away together, she tried to convince him to get married by saying she never loved him anyway.

"There is no question in my mind that she's chosen Jake. Proof of that for me is the day he was going to get married. They concocted this plan, they were going to be together, he was going to leave [his fiancée] at the altar until Rowan threatened Olivia with Jake's life. She had to have that really heartbreaking speech to him where she said, 'I don't love you, I never loved you, I love Fitz.' It was very apparent to me that she wanted to be with Jake and she couldn't," Foley explained.

Fans, however, cannot seem to make up their minds if they want Jake for Olivia. In a poll conducted by Design N Trend, the votes are split almost evenly between him and Fitz. Although 46 percent of the respondents chose him, the other half are against him having a happy ending with Olivia. This means that the outgoing president and Olivia's ex-lover still has a massive following. "Olitz" is still very much alive and fans are eager for a reunion. That may happen in the upcoming season since Fitz will officially step down from his position in the White House. Will he choose to pursue Olivia?

"Scandal" season 6 is expected to premiere midseason 2017 on ABC.
