'Scandal' season 5 episode 13 spoilers: Fitz gets a thorough tongue-lashing from an unexpected person

(Facebook/ ScandalABC)Fitz and Olivia face off in the upcoming episode of "Scandal."

President Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) will get the stuffing knocked out of him by the person he least expects it from in the upcoming episode of the hit ABC series "Scandal."

In "The Fish Rots From the Head," the promo shows the much-awaited face-off between former lovers Olivia (Kerry Washington) and Fitz finally happening. The fixer has come to the White House to tell the POTUS exactly what she thinks of his little affair with journalist Lillian (Annabeth Gish).

Last episode, viewers saw how reckless Fitz has become, making out with the brunette just about anywhere, even at the presidential car where the press could get a snapshot of them. Abby (Darby Stanchfield) was particularly worried, calling her boss a horny teenager for his inability to control his libido.

Olivia must have heard of Fitz' extracurricular activities with the reporter because she decides to see him. This is the first time they set eyes on each other after she left him.

In the face-off, Olivia is sarcastically asking Fitz if he really wants to be remembered as a "reckless, negligent and selfish" head of state. Fitz obviously does not expect to hear that from anyone, much less from Olivia. The clip ends as he is readying to defend himself. Next episode, viewers can expect a showdown between the former couple.

Meanwhile, the teaser also shows Olivia and her team being recruited by the White House to cover up the death of a woman. The Secret Service has asked her help to get them out of a sticky situation. In the promo, a blonde woman wearing a white dress is seen sprawled, dead, in a hotel room. Who is she and what is her connection to the president?

"Scandal" season 5 airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. EST on ABC.
