Samsung Galaxy Note 6 release date rumors: smartphone to sport larger display and bigger RAM

After the recent launch of the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, the hype has been building up for the arrival of the Galaxy Note 6. Despite the lack of announcement for its release date, tech enthusiasts are speculating it is going to be anytime this year as the company continues its Note line.
The Bell, a Korean website, is saying that the Galaxy Note 6 is planned to be made available in the market by mid-July, which is earlier than the August release of its predecessor, the Galaxy Note 5, last year. Moreover, it is rumored that it will be powered by Android Marshmallow and upgraded to Android N by last quarter of this year.
However, the launch of the Android N Developer Preview and its indication of July rollout, the Galaxy Note 6 may have the upcoming system on board after all.
The upcoming smartphone flagship, code-named Grace, is expected to sport a 5.8-inch display with a QHD resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels. No rumors can pinpoint, though, whether it will have an octa-core Exynos 8 chip or a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820.
Additionally, the Galaxy Note 6 may get a significant boost in its RAM; reports are suggesting that it will feature as much as 6 GB. Value Walk believes the increase in RAM is not far-fetched as Samsung plans to integrate upgraded hardware and software into the phablet. With 4K resolution gaining popularity, the new Note having a 4K display is a possibility. This will make the rumored amount of RAM a necessity.
Know Your Mobile has a different opinion. According to the tech website, the increased RAM may mean that Samsung may be turning the Note 6 into a hybrid device — one part laptop, one part phablet.
Samsung has not given any details yet about the upcoming device, though. But with its expected release date coming close, enthusiasts may be hearing from the company sooner or later.
