Rush Limbaugh says Idris Elba cannot play James Bond because he is black

While the entertainment world seems to be excited about that fact that Sony executives are considering Idris Elba to play the coveted James Bond role, commentator Rush Limbaugh did not hesitate to disagree.
Rush Limbaugh, who's known for his conservative views, has openly said that "The Wire" actor, Idris Elba does not fit the coveted agent 007 role because of his dark skin and race. The recent Sony hacks revealed that 42-year-old Elba is being eyed to play the next James Bond after Daniel Craig's contract expires, and Rush Limbaugh seems to have a problem with it.
Though Ian Fleming did not actually specify the race of James Bond when he created it in his books, Limbaugh seems to think that how Bond was portrayed in the past films still holds up to this day, and that the actors who will step into Daniel Craig's shoes should have identical features.
"James Bond is a total concept put together by Ian Fleming. He was white and Scottish. Period. That is who James Bond is," said Limbaugh in a statement, as reported by Entertainment Wise.
"But now [they are] suggesting that the next James Bond should be Idris Elba, a black Briton, rather than a white from Scotland. But that's not who James Bond is," added the commentator. If that wasn't enough, Limbaugh went on to say that his remarks might be "racist."
"I know it's racist to probably point this out," blatantly said Limbaugh. According to Limbaugh's statements, James Bond will not be James Bond if he's not "white," nor Scottish.
Limbaugh is actually one of the most powerful men in American media, and has signed a contract that's worth over $400 million with Clear Channel Communication until 2016.
However, Elba seems to be keen on playing the agent on film. When asked through social website, Reddit, Elba says that he will take the role if it was offered to him.
"Yes, if it was offered to me, absolutely," said Elba when asked if he was interested in playing agent 007.
