'Rizzoli & Isles' season 6 episode 5 spoilers: Jane tries to clear her name after Maura is suspended from work

(TNT/Facebook)

Jane Rizzoli and Maura Isles are quite a dynamic duo of crime-solving women who investigate the city's most puzzling and downright impossible murders. Together, the calm and competent Maura and the assertive and street smart Jane have caught numerous killers. But this bond may be shaken in the upcoming episode as scientist Maura Isles gets suspended from her position.

According to Spoilers Guide, a crime tech's murder sends shockwaves throughout the team. Who could this elusive killer be? Upon investigation, it becomes clear that the tech in question had tampered with evidence for BPD cases. What could the tech gain from tampering with evidence?

Maura is suspended from her job due to the illicit evidence tampering. In the promotional clip she is seen carrying a box of her personal belongings while informing Jane that she has been suspended from her position. Needless to say, Rizzoli knows her partner is innocent and has definitely played no part in the crime tech's murder.

Desperate and determined to not only clear Maura's name but also catch the killer, Jane does everything she can to find the mole in the organization. The detective sets to clear her partner's name and have her reinstated. The promotional clip also shows Rizzoli engaging in a fight in order to obtain information. Will she be able to clear Maura's name towards the end of the episode?

Cater Matt reports that Maura's suspension may be temporary. It seems the plot will not be a major story in the sixth season of "Rizzoli & Isles." More likely, episode five "Misconduct Game" has added the suspension to spice up the plot line and leave room for Maura's character development.

Catch the action-packed episode five and find out if Jane can salvage the situation and clear Maura's name on TNT on Tuesday, July 14 at 9 p.m. EST.
