'Rizzoli and Isles' season 7 spoilers: finale episode to feature final farewell
Fans know by now that the seventh season of "Rizzoli and Isles" is their last. But what they aren't prepared for is saying goodbye now that there's only one episode in the series left. The series finale will see the characters make a heartfelt farewell.
According to the synopsis of the series finale episode, titled "Ocean Frank," a new case will prove to be a puzzling one. They will discover a man, found dead in his home, who is handcuffed to a bed. The case will be boggling because the evidence and the facts will not make any sense. Of course, viewers can trust that this case, like all others, will be solved by the titular characters.
Moreover, fans will undoubtedly get teary-eyed as Rizzoli (Angie Harmon) and Isles (Sasha Alexander) bid their final farewell. Everyone will put an effort to say goodbye through video and the "Bon Voyage" party will also take place.
A trailer for the final episode has also been released. Rizzoli and Isles get one last case before calling it quits. Judging by the clip alone, many tears are going to be shed not just from the fans, but also the characters, as Rizzoli prepares to leave.

Rizzoli and Isles were called to investigate the murder of Walter Sokoloff. Korsak (Bruce McGill) was personally affected by the victim's death because he had dated Walter's daughter, Mary, many years ago. Coincidentally, Mary's sister, Wendy, was also murdered back then.
It was revealed that the person who killed Walter and had murdered Wendy is one and the same. Their investigation led them to the Davenport family. And after a careful ruse and some deception, Rizzoli managed to get a DNA sample from Oliver, the Davenport family patriarch. It was eventually narrowed down to Oliver's three sons. Finally, it was revealed that Robbie, the youngest of the trio, was the murderer.
In the end, Rizzoli found herself in a healthy relationship with her boss and Isles pondered on taking a year-long break.
The series finale of "Rizzoli and Isles" will air on Sept. 5 on TNT.
