'Real Housewives of New Jersey' Season 6: Teresa Giudice sentenced to 15 months in prison
It looks like there will be no cameras following Teresa Giudice after 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' Season 6 cast star pled guilty to charges of mail, bankruptcy and wire fraud.
The charges came after Teresa and her husband Joe financed their lavish lifestyle with $5 million worth of alleged fraudulent construction and mortgage loans that they acquired.
"I'm not gonna deny it, I'm so scared. I'm really scared," the Real Housewives of New Jersey starlet said in front of the judge, as reported by New York Daily News.
"I'm a good woman of faith and heritage," Giudice added. She continued, "This is not how I was raised. I will make this right, your honor."
Judge Esther Salas seem to be impervious to Giudice's dramatic speech, saying that the reality star should have been sentenced a little longer, even for as long as 27 months.
"My gut says Teresa Giudice deserves to be in jail for a period of time," the judge said to Giudice.
"I have hope and I have faith that you have learned your lesson," continued Salas, adding that the whole case does not "define" Giudice as a mother.
Salas gave husband Joe Giudice the heavier sentence of 41 months behind bars, and ultimately chose Theresa to serve her sentence first so Joe can care for their four children while Theresa does her time.
