Fans can look forward to a number of new characters being introduced when "Ray Donovan" returns for its fourth season later this year.

Starting off with one of the most recent additions to the show, veteran actor Richard Brake, he of "Game of Thrones" fame is going to have a recurring role in the upcoming season.

Brake is set to play the role of Vlad, a man with friends in powerful places, Deadline reported.

It's currently uncertain if Vlad will be a friend to Donovan or a potentially sizable thorn in his side. It's also unclear just how many episodes Brake will be a part of in the upcoming season.

However, he is not the only small screen veteran who is expected to have a major recurring role in the fourth season of the show.

According to TV Line, former "Cosby Show" star Lisa Bonet is also set to join the cast of the crime drama.

In the show, Bonet will play the role of Marisol, a woman in possession of a dark secret. Trying to figure out what exactly Marisol's secret is figures to be one of the things that fans of the series can look forward to in its upcoming installment.

Bonet and Brake are just a few of the notable names who will be joining the crime drama's cast.

Previously, actors Dominique Columbus, Ted Levine and a whole host of other names have also been given recurring roles in the upcoming fourth season, so fans can probably look forward to getting to know more about the characters when the show finally returns.

The fourth season of the crime drama is expected to feature 12 episodes.

An exact return date for "Ray Donovan" is currently unknown, although the Showtime series is expected to make its debut in July, with Liev Schreiber still as the main character of the show.
