'Prometheus 2' news: sequel's title now set to be called 'Alien: Covenant'

Ridley Scott, the director of the famed film franchise "Alien" and the previous hit film "Prometheus," has just recently announced that the sequel, "Prometheus 2," will go through another title change from the announced "Alien: Paradise Lost" to "Alien: Covenant."
During Scott's one-hour interview with IndieWire on the recent AFI Film Festival, the famed director had talked about his directing career that highlights one of the famous Hollywood film franchise "Alien." Furthermore, in the middle of the interview, Scott has casually mentioned the new title for "Prometheus 2" which is now being referred to as "Alien: Covenant."
In addition to the new title, the director has also dropped the news that the film is now set to start its filming next year, February of 2016.
"I was going to be doing what will be called 'Alien: Covenant,' which starts shooting next February, and we were struggling then with the screenplay there and then there was a phone call, somebody saying, 'Listen, we've got this thing which is completely written called '[The] Martian,' and I said, 'Huh.' And I sped read it in an hour and by mid-afternoon, I talked to Fox and said, 'I need to talk to 'Drew [Goddard]...'" Scott told IndieWire.
Scott, last September according to Empire Online's report, had revealed that the official title of "Prometheus 2" was going to be called "Alien: Paradise Lost" but now, it seems like the director has a bit of change of heart. Unfortunately though, Scott did not reveal the reason why he changed the title of the sequel or why it is now called "Covenant" instead of "Paradise Lost."
"Prometheus 2" or "Alien: Covenant," is now scheduled to start its initial production on February 2016 and it is slated to have a May 30, 2017 premiere in cinemas if things move forward without any delay.
