'Prison Break' season 5 spoilers: Nine-episode reboot season to premiere this April 4
FOX has been gearing up for the revival of the hit serial drama "Prison Break." A new trailer and poster for the revival season have been teased.

"Not all deaths are real. Some are real. Some are story," Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) can be heard saying in the trailer for the upcoming nine-episode revival of "Prison Break." Scofield, who was presumed dead, is alive and stuck in a dingy prison in Yemen. This time, breaking out of the prison will only be the beginning of Scofield's new storyline. "Breaking out is just the beginning," the slogan reads.
With the help of Scofield's brother, Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell), and a few trustworthy inmates, he intends to break free and reclaim his freedom.
In the upcoming season, it is not a question of whether or not he will be able to break free, but how he will be able to do so. More importantly, fans can expect to see a thorough explanation of how Scofield ended up in that prison.
Joining Scofield in season 5 is Whip, who will be portrayed by "Silicon Valley" actor Augustus Prew. The character is going to be Scofield's cellmate. Aside from the aforementioned stars, fans expect to see Sarah Wayne Callies return as Sara Tancredi-Scofield, Amaury Nolasco as Fernando Sucre, Robert Knepper as T-Bag, Rockmond Dunbar as C-Note Franklin, and Paul Adelstein as Paul Kellerman.
On the official Twitter page for "Prison Break," a brief clip of Burrows in a scuffle is shared along with the caption, "The fight for freedom is just beginning."
The nine-episode installment was initially meant to deliver 10 episodes, but the network later trimmed it down to nine. Creator Paul Scheuring then had to condense the content of two episodes together.
"Prison Break" season 5 is set to debut on April 4, Tuesday, on FOX.
More updates should roll out in the weeks to come.
