'Prison Break' season 5 spoilers, latest news: Michael Scofield faked his death due to his association with ISIS

Now that "Prison Break" season 5 is confirmed to premiere in spring of 2017, details of his supposed death in season 4 are also surfacing. Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) did not die after getting electrocuted. It was all a form of deception, and the new season will reveal Michael's reasons why he had to fake his own death.
Sources reveal, however, that Michael may experience some memory loss in season 5 due to his electrocution. Miller's co-star Dominic Purcell, who portrays Lincoln Burrows in the prison drama series, reveals that Michael got involved with the terrorist group ISIS. Michael's decision to leave the organization later landed him in a prison based in Yemen.
It is also said that some members of the original cast will no longer be part of season 5 as it is believed that show creator Paul Scheuring could not find an appropriate plot that would suit their characters in the new season. The non-returning cast members from the original installments include William Fichtner who played Alexander Mahone and Michael Rapaport who played Donald Self. Meanwhile, actors who will return to the TV series to reprise their roles include Robert Knepper as T-Bag, Rockmond Dunbar as C-Note, and Amaury Nolasco as Sucre.
Lincoln is expected to lead his group composed of T-Bag, C-Note, and Sucre to rescue Michael from his cell in Yemen. The trailer of the upcoming season 5 reveals that T-Bag might betray Michael as his loyalty to the two brothers will be put to test. T-Bag is also the same person who informed Lincoln that Michael is alive and detained in another country.
New cast members, on the other hand, are expected to be introduced in season 5. The new cast members include Mark Feuerstein as Scott Ness, Kunal Sharma as Sid, Amin El Gamal as Cyclops, Inbar Lavi as Sheba, Marina Benedict as A&W, Rick Yune as Ja, and Augustus Prew as Whip.
"Prison Break" season 5 will comprise nine episodes and will premiere in spring of 2017 to replace "Bones" in the 9 p.m. Thursday primetime slot on Fox.
