"Prison Break" had been confirmed for season five but some details remain hidden, like when the show is returning and if main characters Michael Scofield and Lincoln Burrows are returning. Latest reports, however, seem to think that those details have already been answered.

According to Christian Post, the return of lead characters Michael Scofield and Lincoln Burriws have already been confirmed. Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell, who play the two roles respectively, have alledgedly said yes to returning to the world surrounding the Fox River State Penitentiary. But wheher Scofield's wife, Dr. Sara Tancredi (Sarah Wayne Callies), is also returning remains unanswered.

Speculations are that she will likely be rejoining her husband, get pregnant, and raise kids in the upcoming season. As to how that will happen and how Scofield will return, given his death was portrayed in the season four finale, is yet to be revealed. A popular fan theory is that Scofield actually faked his death to help his family escape. This is uncofirmed at the moment.

While only two actors have been confirmed to reprise their roles, fans have started speculating that most of the latter actors of the series are returning. Some names being dragged into the serial drama's return are William Fichtner (Alexander Mahone), Robert Knepper (Theodore "T-Bag" Bagwell), and Amaury Nolasco (Fernando Sucre).

Aside from casting, news of the show's premiere date has also started circulating the Internet grapevine. TVLine recently published a guide to TV Reboots and Revivals and "Prison Break" season five made it to the list. And according to the page, the show is premiereing on FOX (its original network) in 2016. Exactly when in 2016, though, is still unrevealed. What's sure, however, is that it won't be a ull-blown season and will only have 10 episodes.

Stay tuned for additional updates on "Prison Break" season five.
